Elopement in Waimea Canyon State Park
This elopement shoot was part of my Hawaii retreat I hosted in January. Kelli and Frank flew over from Oahu to model for us. They were so good at their job and so sweet to all of the girls. Jamie and I flew to the island a few days early to find some of the spots we would be shooting at. We stumbled upon this little trail off the side of the road after our first plan fell through. We immediately knew it was perfect.
The day of the shoot it rained all morning causing flooding on parts of Kauai. Thankfully it cleared up just in time for the elopement and the sun even started peeking through the clouds. We started on the ledge with a beautiful background and lots of space to pose and photograph. Throughout the shoot we played with the veil, got some detail shots, and used lots of movement. We ended on the unique rocks for a more dramatic look. Overall, the elopement styled shoot was a huge success.
